Mateen Stewart is one to watch in the Los Angeles comedy circuit! Originally from Detroit—recently voted the most miserable city in America by Forbes Magazine (Mateen hates Forbes Magazine)—he attended Florida A&M University where he majored in Theatre. It only took him 5 years and he now uses his degree as emergency toilet paper. He has appeared in several screen roles working with the likes of Ben Stiller, Ken Marino and Ron Hubel. He has played the token “Black Guy” in a National McDonald’s commercial and has appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Mateen has performed at The Hollywood Improv, The Comedy Store and Flappers Comedy Club. Let’s not forget all of the shitty dive bars across the country. Mateen is a founding memeber of the Wellspoken Comedy Tour. Mateen Stewart is a vegetarian who doesn’t trust vegans—they have no soul.

Imaginary Radio is back to move your booty to their funny grooves! Imaginary Radio is made up of Drennon Davis and Nick Sargu. Drennon has been featured on Comedy Central's new stand-up/sketch show “Adam Devine's House Party”, Carson Daly's Last Call and Last Comic Standing. His new animated series “The Long Legs” is premiering on MTV's new Liquid Television. Musical partner Nick Stargu (aka DJ Real) is a San Francisco-based musical comedian that has appeared in the San Francisco Sketch Festival, the San Francisco Comedy Competition, the Noise Pop Festival and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival. And he's opened for Devo! This duo has been written up in the SF Weekly as “a strangely wonderful combination of lo-fi recording artist and Andy Kaufman comedian” – don’t miss their act!

The dancers for the night will be Siren Saphire and Scarlet Conte! Their unique styles are sure to tantalize all of the senses and leave you wanting more.

Juan Medina and Kelly Anneken will be rounding out our evening, bringing local Bay Area comedy to the stage. Ivy Vasquez comes to us all the way from Humbolt County. There will also be some local surprise comics coming through! These funny people can be seen all around town and are a force to be reckoned with… Look out Supperclub!

RUSSIAN PLAYA - A Burning Man Decompression

entire venue – 10pm-2am

Welcome to Russian Playa!

First time ever, a Russian Burners post-playa reunion and decompression party!

All who have been to or going to or just love everything about The Burning Man, let's get together in the best spirit of BM, swap stories, show (or show off) Playa fashion, dance and re-live (as much as possible) the moments of otherworldly experience which is what The Burning Man for many of us.

During the party our Playa-minded judges will select the best-BM-dressed lady and gentleman and announce the winners at the end of the night. Put your best BM clothes on and be a winner! It'll be fun!

Doors open at 9:30pm, 21+

Free entrance before 11pm if dressed in Playa - style fashion!
($20 otherwise on Door)

And on the side note, this year wasn't the happiest year for many in Russian speaking community of San Francisco. The recent political events in and news from our common homeland made us all very sad and emotional and split our community. Made friends to hate each other. Got us to say things we couldn't imagine saying just a year ago. May be this is the reason why so many of us went to BM this year - to clean (or try to clean) our souls with universal love, which is always in abundance at the BM world, and bring back a bit of it to default world where it almost never exists.

It is a sad observation that Burning Man is one of the very few things that still unify us rather than divide. But there lies the hope that what we brought from Playa will add to the forces that change the world to a better state.

While some chose confrontation and war as a solution, we choose love and beauty! Let's get together and show the world how it works!
